Again, long time no update. And my excuse is again, being swamped with the activities of life. All mostly good and happy activities, nonetheless.
I just read my Blog entry around January last year, when I decided on my New Year's Resolutions and looked back on 2012. Truth is, 2012 wasn't the best of years of me, but due to me tackling "3 p's" (being proactive, positive and putting myself out there) I had an amazing succeeding year, especially the second half. I changed to a better job, a better city and better lifestyle. I most definitely succeeded in making "2013 the best year of my life", or at least one of them.
In saying that, though my current job is better than the last, it has it's flaws. It was mostly the company's bad reputation and thus the affect it would have on my own that caused me to decide to leave.
On that account, I once more tackled the first "p", and delved into finding a better job to begin as soon as possible. Perhaps it was due to the timing in that April is the first month of the Japanese fiscal year, but I came across a fair amount of job adverts. I managed to find a better job for myself and my co-worker, who I was mostly distraught about leaving at my current workplace, as she was in a worse position needed to leave without haste. She has become a dear friend, so I thank the stars that things went so incredibly smoothly in that she will now have a better job, better pay, a better environment and that I can still work with her.
As of March, I am actually going to take on two part time jobs. Everything has been mostly decided, but I will not announce anything unless all contracts are signed and so forth. The result is I am overjoyed with the jobs I found, in particular one which is my dream job! Updates on that in another post :)
Having been a hectic month with job finding, the New Year season etc I have not been over or made any new resolutions for the year.
I'm a month late, but let's see what resolutions I managed to keep, if any.
Resolutions of 2013

- Learn to cook a few dishes, and be able to repeat them (make packed lunches for work every day if possible) (✓)
- Be healthy at a realistic level and look after self (less illnesses, better skin condition, go to bed early, wake up early, careful on overindulgence of "bad" food) - (✓)
- Save money through less spending on pointless things (in particular, cosmetics and clothes) (✓)
- Sober up (cut down on drinking) ✓
- Be more time efficient (be on time for things more often!) ✘

Resolutions almost kept: 6
Resolutions not kept: 7
...now that is a very sorry score. If I hadn't had such a brilliant year I would be rather ashamed of myself.
But, no regrets! I plan on keeping to these same resolutions, without getting rid of any, though definitely not adding any either.
Here's to a fresh new start, and an even better year!
