Perfect weather for ice cream!
Though, as I am trying to lead an ethical lifestyle as well as taking care of my health, I searched for an alternative of the dairy type.
And I found it - soy milk ice cream.
No dairy products or eggs included, uses Hokkaido grown soy beans.
I found this vegan sweet goodness at ethical shop 'Earth Cover' in Sapporo.
Obviously not quite the same as the original dairy type, but yummy all the same.
The flavour I chose was "kinako" (roasted soybean flour), one of my favourite toppings for desserts.
Kinako soy flour gives you saponin to block fat and burn fat faster and isoflavone for better looking skin (see this website for details).Soy milk and kinako are great for those watching their figures and health as well, and this ice cream is perfect for those guilty cravings!
